Amunson, Lowell & Esther Cummins (Marriage News)

Miss Esther Cummins and Lowell Amunson were married at the Lutheran Church in Soldier on Thursday, May 16, 1940. Rev. E. E. Hoff performed the ceremony in the presence of immediate relatives of the groom. Miss Eva Sorenson, of Onawa, and Kermit Amunson were bridesmaid and groomsman.
The bride wore a two toned blue dress and carried a bouquet of roses. The groom wore a conventional blue suit. The bridesmaid was attired in a dusty pink dress with white accessories.
Mrs. Amunson is the daughter of Robert Cummins of near Cherokee. She is a graduate of Onawa High School in 1935 and for the past 3 years has been teaching in rural school in the county. She made her home with her aunt, Mrs. Arvid Hanson, for the past 4 years.
Lowell graduated from the Soldier High School in 1929 and for the past 4 years has been farming for himself, east of town.
A reception was held in the Arvid Hanson home after the wedding ceremony.
Mr. and Mrs. Amunson will make their home on the farm east of Soldier.
