Darrell and I (Beverly) were born and raised in this area. We both graduated from the Moorhead High School, Moorhead, Iowa in 1954. On June 11th, 1955, we were married at the Methodist Church in Onawa, Iowa. We lived in Onawa for about five years and then moved to Moorhead, Iowa; where we purchased the home we live in at the present time form the Rustin Estate. We have two daughters, Pam and Deb.

Darrell Dean Andrews was born Nov. 20, 1935. He is the son of Richard and Mildred (Melby) Andrews. Grandson of Alanzo and Cora (James) Andrews and Adolph and Lena (Everson) Melby. He has four brothers, Howard, Bernard, Glen and Robert and 3 sisters, Mrs. Lyle (Dorothy) Babe, Mrs. Art (Janice) Massie and Mrs. Lyle (Carol) Michael. Darrell worked with Tiger Chem. Co., Monona County A.S.C., Monona County S.C.S., Moorhead Coop, Irvin F. Jensen Const. Co. and now is self employed. He has his own grain and livestock truck.

Beverly Jean (Yanak) Andrews was born Nov. 4, 1936. Daughter of Jerry and Vonda (West) Yanak. Granddaughter of Anton and Maggie (Jary) Yanak, who was both born in Czechoslovakia and came to this country in the early 1900s, and Earl and Amy (West) Peiffer. I have two sisters, Mrs. Grant (Barbara) Mann and Mrs. Robert (Geraldine) McGuire and one brother Larry Yanak. I have one adopted sister Jolene Yanak. I started working at the Monona A.S.C. office in Onawa after I graduated and worked there until 1966 when I accepted a job with the Moorhead State Bank, Moorhead, Iowa, where I’m still employed.

Pamela Sue (Andrews) Nuzum was born April 8, 1956 in Onawa, Iowa and graduated from East Monona Community School. She married Lonnie Ray Nuzum from Pisgah, Iowa on May 27, 1973 at the Christian Church in Moorhead, Iowa. They live in Pisgah, Iowa. Lonnie is employed with Culligan in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Lonnie is the son of Ernest and Irma (Harper) Nuzum and is the grandson of Walter and Dora (McGee) Nuzum and Elbert and Lilly (Nuzum) Harper. Lonnie has three brothers, Eugene, Gary and Dennis and one sister Elaine (Nuzum) Nelson. Lonnie was born Feb. 20, 1953. Pam and Lonnie have five sons, Justin Ray born Oct. 29, 1973; Jade Barrett born July 1, 1976; Jarred Day born Aug. 25, 1978; Jamison Andrew born Oct. 31, 1980 and Joel Aaron born Jan. 30, 1982.

Debra Kay (Andrews) Johnson, was born April 25, 1958, Onawa, Iowa. She graduated from the East Monona Community School. She married Scott Reed Johnson from Moorhead, Iowa, on March 26, 1976 at the Bethesda Lutheran Church in Moorhead, Iowa. They live on a farm 4 ½ miles south of Moorhead. Scott is the son of Carroll and Jeanne (Reed) Johnson. Grandson of Andrew and Lena (Sorenson) Johnson and Everett and Leone (Delashmutt) Reed. Scott was born January 14, 1956. He has three brothers, Kevin, Bryan and Gregg and one sister, Mrs. Tim (Julie) Struble. Deb and Scott have two sons, Cory Andrew born Aug. 3, 1976 and Christopher Carroll born July 4, 1978.
