Are you looking for copies from plat maps, or actual proof they owned the land?
There is a Michael Hastings living in Wayne Township, Mitchell County, Iowa, North 1/2 of the NE 1/4 Section 28 (80 acres) in 1911, this map can be found in the Mitchell Co. site under maps. In 1955 same section now owning North 1/2 of section 28. (320 acres)
In 1968 Michael is listed on this land as a tenant.
married, wife Pearl, children Marcella, Robert, Don. Roberts name is on the actual map,
