Unfortunately on December 1, 1876, the Howard County courthouse was destroyed by fire. Most county records were lost. Rev. John W. Windsor's church in New Oregon was moved to Cresco in 1868. The original church records if they have not been archived elsewhere should be at the church in Cresco. Here is their contact information:
