I'm not sure what your question is but once I figured out the name Find a Grave had a lot to say.

Son of Joshua and Lucinda. He married Clarissa N. Hutchinson February 17, 1857 in Mitchell Co, IA. They had 12 children; Carl, Elmer, Ethzelda Meroa, Darwin Owsley, Granville Merrit, Ira Asher, Jay Baxter, Joshua, Clara, Mildred, Ethel Louisa, and Katie.

The Meroa post office in West Cedar Township, Mitchell County, Iowa, was established in 1870 by Granville, and named in honor of his daughter, Meroa.
