The Albert Seim that seems to be confused was born September 20, 1869 in Norway and died July 10, 1947 in South Dakota. From Ancestry World Tree Project:
"Albert Solie Seim was born in Norway in 1869. Shortly after Albert's birth, his father was killed in a copper mining accident, and in 1871, Albert and his mother, Berit Olesdotter Solie, came to America, where Berit met and married Nels Seim. The family settled in the Albee, South Dakota, area, where Albert grew up. In 1906, Albert married Ida Olsen and together they raised seven children: Laman (Cy), Clarence, Ivan, Eldred, Alta, and twins Amelia and Anna. Albert farmed near Revillo and Albee, and on the Berquist farm southeast of LaBolt. The family moved briefly to the Oklee, Minnesota, area, but returned to LaBolt in 1921. Albert and Ida became members of the Grace Lutheran Church in LaBolt in 1925. After a lifetime of farming, they moved into LaBolt where Albert worked for several summers as caretaker at the LaBolt Dam. Ida was known for her handmade rugs and quilts, her sewing, and for her large vegetable garden. After Albert's death in 1947, Ida moved to a smaller house in LaBolt where she continued with her interests until her death in 1951." written by Carol Linngren Solberg
