According to Ole I. Nelson's pension file, he was born in Winneshiek County, Iowa on August 18, 1866 and resided in the State of Washington from November 17, 1911 until his death on March 27, 1944 in Spokane, Washington.

According to the Minnesota Death Index, Petranille (Nellie) K. Narveson was born 28 July 1864 and died 18 February 1960 in Albert Lea, Freeborn County, Minnesota.

She is buried at the East Freeborn Lutheran Church Cemetery in Lerdal, Minnesota. She and Theodore Narveson were married on July 15, 1891 in St. Ansgar, Iowa according to Mitchell County, Iowa marriage records. She was born in Calmar, Winneshiek, Iowa.

Nellie and Theodore Narveson had at least three children:
Ila B. Narveson, born June 1896, married Carl C. Knudsen on September 4, 1933 (Freeborn County Minnesota Marriage record); Minnesota Death Index - Ila Blanche Knudsen 25 June 1896 -- 9 July 1964 in Freeborn County, Minnesota;

Ruth B. Narveson, born July 31, 1910 in Bancroft, Freeborn, Minnesota (Minnesota Birth Index); married Charley Howard on December 25, 1941 (Freeborn County Minnesota Marriage record);

Social Security Index:
Ruth B. Howard- July 31, 1910 - March 1996;

Obert Irving Narveson born 26 June 1894 and died 20 May 1985 in Mora, Kanabec County, Minnesota

Ila Knudsen, 68, Dies Here Today

Mrs. Carl C (Ila Blanche) Knudsen, 68, died of a heart condition at 5 a. m. today in her home at 810 Newton Ave. A native of Mclntosh, Iowa, she was born June 25. 1896, to the late Theodore and Nellie Narveson. In 1898 she came to Freeborn County and lived in the Bancroft Township area. She attended Luther Academy here and was an employe of Albert Lea State Bank. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, its Women of the church and Mission Circle. She was married to Carl C. Knudsen Sept. 4, 1933, at Albert Lea. He survives her. Other survivors are a brother, Obert I. Narveson, Mora, and a sister, Mrs. Charles (Ruth) Howard, Albert Lea, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Trinity Lutheran Church. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Garden. Friends may call at Bonnerup & Son Funeral Chapel.
