I was able to find this using the "old version" of the familysearch.org 1880 census search engine for Adelaide in Mitchell, Iowa in 1880.
It is a good example of how errors crept into census indexes either from the original or the digital indexing afterward. I have not seen the original but it should be seen and neighbors noted.
