Osage "gate"

Looking through my grandmothers photo album, I've come across two pictures of an entrence/exit gate to Osage. On it it says: "Osage""Our Nations Defender-Bunker Hill to Argonne" "Welcome" On the other side of it is the exact same words, other then, "Come Again".
Where was this located? What is the history behind it? And when was this in Osage?
In one of the pictures, there is a person going under the gate in a horse drawn wagon. (to give an approximate time table of this)
Thanks, Jackie
