Again the messenger of death has come among us and taken from our midst Mrs. O. H. Evans. Mrs. Evans had been a great sufferer for the past two years and Wednesday, Sept. 16, a decided change took place and it was known that she would be spared but a short time and Thursday morning at 5:30 she passed into the great beyond.
Minnie Worseldine Evans was born March 28, 1858 in Mitchell County, Iowa and died Sept. 17, 1914, being 56 years, 5 months and 19 days old at the time of her death.
She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Worseldine. She was married to Orville H. Evans March 4, 1882. To this union were born Vern and John. Mrs. Evans joined the Congregational church at Orchard on Feb. 2, 1878, and lived a devoted member until the time of her death.
On account of her failing health she had been deprived of the fellowship of church to a certain extent, but in her home life the spirit of Christ and His word were most beautifully exemplified.
She leaves to mourn her loss besides her husband and two sons, one brother, G. W. Worseldine, three sisters, Mrs. Hannah Large, Mrs. W. J. Bartlett and Mrs. E. A. Knapp, and other relatives.
