Obituary-Johnson

Marion Johnson, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Johnson, was born at David, Iowa, on March 26, 1906, and passed away at McIntire, Iowa, on September 3, 1914, after an illness of a few days.

His death came so suddenly that it cannot be realized, seeming almost like a dream. He stepped on a piece of glass a few days before his death, which resulted in lockjaw. No one realized that he was so seriously hurt, as he had played out of doors until a short time before his death. He was of a winning disposition and was liked by all who knew him. He has attended school here for the past few years, and at the close of the last school year, was promoted to the fourth grade. He loved his teacher and schoolmates, and he will be greatly missed this term.

His parents, one brother and one sister, besides his grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins and a host of friends remain to mourn his loss. The funeral was held at the Methodist church Saturday afternoon conducted by Rev. Pease. Interment was in the McIntire cemetery beside his sister, Gladys, who preceded him about five years ago.
