Orton W. Lang was born in Minneapolis, May 31, 1885, and died very suddenly at Colorado Springs, Colorado, May 23, 1921, at the age of 35 years, 11 months and 23 days.
St. Ansgar was his home from early infancy until 1910, when he was advised to change climate on account of his health, and since that time has made his home at Colorado Springs.
His mother died when he was five years of age. In the fall of 1889 his father married Miss Cora Burroughs, who gave Orton a mother's care thru all the years of his childhood and youth.
He leaves to mourn his loss, his mother, Mrs. Cora Lang, four brothers and three sisters; Benjamin H. and Warner Lang, of Waterloo; Dayton and Horace,of St. Ansgar; Mrs. Herbert W. Rowland and Eleanor Lang,of St. Ansgar, Mrs Reece Flack, [missing] ...
His father passed away Nov. 15, 1912.
Orton was a member of the Modern Woodman lodge of St. Ansgar.
Funeral services were held from the M.E.church, St. Ansgar, Saturday, May 18, 1921, conducted by Revs. Buell and Galbreth. The body was laid to rest in the St. Ansgar cemetery.
