The sad intelligence comes to us that Erick Nelson, known as big Erick, has been found death near Twin Lakes, Minn. He left this place some time ago with his team, stating he was going to Albert Lea or in that section, to collect some money that was due him near there. Conjecture that he was waylaid, and his life taken.

Mr. P.K. Everson, and some others left Saturday to find the body and learn the true incidents in the case.

Note: The 1880 Mortality census, Otranto twp. noted that Erick Nelson was age 46 yrs., born Norway, a farmer, was murdered in Lake Mills, Freeborn co., MN in October 1879
