DIED - At her residence, September 13, 1879, Mrs. Eliza Corbett, wife of G.W. Corbett, a respected citizen of Osage. For many months she had been a great sufferer from internal cancer.
The funeral service at the Seminary on Sabbath afternoon, conducted by Revs. Gibb and Casebeer, was largely attended by friends and citizens.
Mrs. Corbett came down to her end as a shock of corn fully ripe. Her Christian experience, especially for weeks before death, was a glorious testimony to the triumphs of redeeming grace.
She leaves a husband and five children to mourn her loss.
