[NOTE: Svein and Svend is the same name. His mother is a Svendsdatter (= daughter of Svend), so he is named after his maternal grandfather.

(Svein is the more "Norwegian" and Svend the more "Danish" spelling of the name)

[NOTE: Sam's Norwegian name was SVEIN.

Svein was born September 18th 1872 in Seljord, Telemark county, Norway. His parents were Amund Olafson and Helge Svendsdatter.

Funerals

OLSON - Funeral services for Sam Olson, Lyle, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Worlein Funeral Home, the Rev. Merland Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Mona, Iowa.
