Frieda Anna Feldt, 103, died on March 17, 2019 at the Good Samaritan Society, St. Ansgar, Iowa. Funeral service will be on Friday, March 22, 2019 at 2:00 PM at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Rock Township, Mitchell County, Iowa, with Rev. David Werges and Deacon Elayne Werges officiating. Burial will be in the St. John’s Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church. Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home of St. Ansgar is in charge of arrangements.

Frieda was born the fifth child of William and Emma (Kirchgatter) Dieterich on July 30, 1915 in Newburg Township, Mitchell County, Iowa. She was raised and went to school near Toeterville, Iowa. She was baptized, confirmed and married there. Frieda was united in marriage to Lloyd Feldt, July 16, 1938. To this union three children were born, Larry, Dale and Kathy.

They moved to Rock Township to a farm she lived her whole life. In the winter she was always sewing something including many, many quilts. She also loved to do crafts. In the summer she would be found in her flower beds or vegetable garden, which she did until her fall in August of 2017. The grandchildren loved the farm and staying with their Grandma and she did also.

Frieda was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd in 1965; her parents; two sisters, Ida Kroneman and Laura Duenow; two brothers, Lawrence, who died in infancy and Ervin; her son Dale in 2009; many sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws; nieces and nephews.

She is survived by two children; Larry (Elaine) Feldt and Kathy (Scott) Tusler; 7 grandchildren, David Feldt of Carpenter, two step grandchildren Todd (Katie) Clausen of Cedar Falls and Mike (Nikki) Clausen of Appleton, Wis., Kelly (Steve) Schnieders of Ventura, Con (Roxanne) Tusler of Osage, Darin Tusler of Osage, Rober (Shannon) Tusler of Ventura; 14 great-grandchildren, Parker and Paige Schnieders of Ventura, Courtney and Garrett Tusler of Osage, Drew, Kailey and Bryson Tusler of Osage, two step great-grandchildren Josi and Jacob of Ventura, Colton (Shey) Feldt of Carpenter, Natalie and Nickolas Clausen of Cedar Falls, Paige and Jackson of Appleton, Wis.; many nieces and nephews
