Ila F. Lincoln, age 97, of Osage, died Sunday January 6, 2019, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 11, 2019, at the First United Methodist Church in Osage with Pastor Julie Schubert officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery.

Ila was born October 15, 1921, in Adams County, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Lily (Powell) Eigenheer. She graduated from Corning High School in 1939. On May 10, 1942, Ila married Tom Lincoln at the Methodist Parsonage in Prescott, Iowa. To this union, seven children were born. Over the years, Ila taught in a one room school house, was a preschool teacher for 25 years, worked at Davis Paint Store for 25 years, at LeaBrian’s Hairstyling for eight years and was a homemaker and mom.

She was a member of Wa-Tan-Ye, Alanon, and First United Methodist Church where she was a circle member. Ila enjoyed gardening and reading, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends.

Ila is survived by her seven children, Richard Lincoln of Arvada, Colorado, Nancy (Larry) Muller of Osage, Thomas Lincoln of Jamul, California, Sue (Walt) Tanner of Mason City, Mary Jo (Dave) Jensen of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Robert (Debi) Lincoln of Charles City, and Lea (Brian) Jones of Osage; 20 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sister, Bonnie Kirk of Adel; and nephew, Carlton (Kim) Stuvick.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tom Lincoln in 1990; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Avery and Frances Lincoln; three sisters, Lois “Sis” Bothell, Betty Refer, June Nicolsen; brother, Duane Eigenheer; three brothers-in-law, George Bothell, Jack Refer and Alfred Nicolsen; sister-in-law, Mildred Stuvick and her husband, Kenneth; and niece, Carol Jean Morton.
