Donald Albert Salisbury, the son of Clifford B. and Ruth (Marshall) Salisbury, was born March 28, 1942, at home in Lyle, Minnesota. He attended school in Lyle and graduated from there in 1960.
Don married Nancy Kline on February 23, 1963, at the St. Ansgar Catholic Church. To this union, six children were born. Don was a man of many talents. He was a farm hand for several farmers. Don was very mechanical and could fix anything, even with duct tape. He enjoyed farming, doing things with family, including children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Don loved to dance with Nancy; they could float across the floor like birds. His children and grandchildren looked up to him in many ways. Don always welcomed anyone with open arms, especially Geri and her family. He was a man with a big heart.
Those left to cherish his life are his wife of 55 years, Nancy; daughter, Cindy Betts; sons, Doug (Julie) Salisbury and Dwayne Salisbury, daughters, Susan Kendrew (fiancé, Rick Spitz), Sandy (Loren) Wagner and Stacy (Ron) Koehler, and special adopted daughter, Geri (Jack) Schade; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews; and one aunt, Angeline Overland.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford B. and Ruth Salisbury; father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Agnes Kline; step-father, Wilmer Heimer; one sister; one brother; several brothers-in-law; and one grandson, Joshua Schade.
