Louise K. Juenger, age 85, of Stacyville, Iowa, died Friday, November 3, 2017, at Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage, Iowa.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at Visitation Catholic Church in Stacyville, Iowa, with Monsignor John Hemann and Father Raymond Burkle officiating. A rosary will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be at Visitation Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Visitation Catholic Church in Stacyville with scripture service at 5:00 p.m.

Louise Kathryn was born on July 18, 1932 near Johnsburg, MN, to Albert and Margaret (Mullenbach) Smith. On June 5, 1956 she married Virgil Juenger at St Johns Catholic Church in Johnsburg, MN. They made their home in Stacyville, raising six children. Louise belonged to the Christian Mothers and the Catholic Order of Foresters and was an active member in her church. Louise was a homemaker for much of her life and her greatest joys were centered around family. She enjoyed cooking, baking cookies with her grandchildren, gardening, reading, sewing, and playing cards.

Louise is survived by her husband of 61years, Virgil; children, Brian (Becky) Juenger of Stacyville, Ann Schwieder of St Charles, MN, Joyce Juenger of Elgin, IL, Jane (Dwight) Haugland of Bettendorf, June (Jon Harding) Juenger of Iowa City, and Paul (Carrie) Juenger of Stacyville; grandchildren, Brett Juenger; Bridget (Jason) Rice; Lucas, Kacy and Gunner Schwieder; Emmersen and Alex Haugland; Kylie, Sam, and Maci Juenger; great granddaughter Abby Rice; one sister Ruth Shotliff of Jordan, MN; and two brothers, Ralph (Beverly)Smith of McIntire, IA, and Jerry (Joan) Smith of Adams, MN.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Rita; her parents, Albert and Margaret; one brother, Cyril; one sister, Gladys; son-in-law Gary Schwieder; and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.
