Obituary from Osage Newspaper:
Ole Larsen Torblaa was born at Ulvik inHardanger, Hordaland, Norway, Jan. 12, 1857, and passed away at his home in Osage, Nov. 16, 1943, in his 87th year. Ole L. Torblaa, immigrated to America in 1875 with a sister, Britha and came to Osage. He engaged in farming in Mitchell County, an occupation in which he continued until his retirement in 1920, with the exception of a two year period from 1898 to 1900, when he and his family resided in Osage. His residence was confined to Mitchell County except for one year when he farmed near Grafton, N Dakota. In 1927, Mr. Torblaa visited the land of his birth.

February 21, 1880, Ole L. Torblaa, was married to Martha Olsen Mikkelsen at the Rock Creek Lutheran church, the Rev. John Olsen officiating. To this union, four children were born, and these, with the aged wife and mother, survive. The children are: Leonard of Grafton, ND; Clara of Osage, IA; Mrs. Gust Olson and Mrs. Elmer Dahley of Nora Springs, IA. Also, surviving are 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. One of the grandchildren, Glen Olson, is at present in the army in the South Pacific. A sister, Mrs. Martin Torkelson, Grafton, ND, also survives.

Mr. and Mrs. Torblaa were approaching their 64th wedding anniversary and could look back on a married life singularly spared by death; not only do all the children and grandchildren survive, but only once in the 63 years has the family suffered bereavement, and that through the passing of a great-grandchild. Mr. Torblaa was a devoted church member. He frequently represented his church at conventions and for many years was a deacon in the Osage Lutheran church. Funeral services were held November 19 at the home and at the Osage Lutheran church at 2:00 p.m.. Interment was in the Rock Creek Cemetery.

There is a memorial for him at Find a Grave #103285165.
