Ada Clarinda Tollefson was born March 18, 1900 at St Ansgar, Mitchell, Iowa to Mikkel George Tollefson and Ragnild Andrea Groth, the oldest of their two children. She had a younger brother, Luther.

Ada was baptized on April 15, 1900 at the First Lutheran Church at St Ansgar, Mitchell, Iowa and confirmed there also.

Found in the 1900 - 1925 censuses living at St Ansgar, Mitchell, Iowa:
1900: M George Tollefson 24, Nellie A Tollefson 24, Ada C Tollefson 1 mo, Embrecht Haugon 39.

1910: Mikkel G Tallefson 33, Nellie (Ragnild) Andrea Groth Tallefson 34, Ada Tallefson 10, Luther Theo Tallifson 7, Clarence Johnson 18.

1915: Ada C Tollefson age 14.

1920: Milkel G Tollefson 43, Ragnild Tollefson 43 , Ada Tollefson 19, Luther Tollefson 17, Chris Hanson 19.

1925: M G Tollefson 48, Rognild Tollefson 48, Luther T Tollefson 22, Ada C Tollefson 24.

Found also in the 1925 census living at Tama, Iowa (counted twice): renting a room at a boarding house, employed as a teacher: Ada Tollefson age 25.

Found in the 1930 census at Palermo, Grundy, Iowa, renting a room, teaching: Ada C Tollefson age 30.

Ada married Harold Emerson Hahn on August 1, 1935 at St Ansgar, Mitchell, Iowa.

The couple had twin sons on July 9, 1939 at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa. One son died shortly after birth and the other, Harland Dean Hahn, grew to adulthood.

Found in the 1940 census living at Ionia, Chickasaw, Iowa: Harold Hahn 39, Ada Hahn 40, Harland Dean Hahn 9 mos.

Ada Hahn died November 18, 1991 at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa. She was buried at the First Lutheran Cemetery at St Ansgar, Mitchell, Iowa.
