Obituary--

Frank was born November 4, 1936 in Leighton, Iowa to Andrew and Helen (Boston) Brower. He graduated from Pella High School in 1954 and served in the U.S. Army, being honorably discharged in 1962. Frank graduated from the University of Iowa in 1964, and married Diana Rembolt two days later. The couple moved to Minneapolis, where Frank earned a pharmacy degree from the University of Minnesota in 1969. Frank and Diana then moved back to Iowa, ultimately landing in St. Ansgar, where they bought the local drugstore.

Frank served the community and surrounding area as its pharmacist for 40 years. He was dedicated to his profession and committed to serving his patients and those in need. He was intensely passionate about things that he cared about, yet immeasurably compassionate and caring to those whom he could help. Frank was also an optimistic, happy man who loved to laugh.

Unfortunately, his disease robbed him of his ability to truly laugh, or enjoy life as he wanted, in recent years. Those who knew him best find comfort in knowing that he is finally now free to laugh again. Frank was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and a loyal friend to many. He was a great man, who will be greatly missed.

Frank was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Diana; parents, Andrew and Helen; and brother, John.

Frank is survived by one daughter, Jennifer (Matt) McNutt of Painted Post, New York; one son, Andy (Diane) Brower of Savage, Minnesota; one sister, Mary Van Ooyen of Oskaloosa, Iowa; one brother-in-law Richard (Penny) Rembolt of Iowa City; grandchildren Megan, Ryan, Emma, Sam and Ben; and extended family and many friends.
