Frank Arthur Swartzrock – September 23, 1887 – August 3,1966

RITES HELD FOR FRANK SWARTZROCK

Frank A. Swartzrock, 78, of Rockford passed away last Wednesday at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital at Osage following a lingering illness.

He was born in Ulster Township of Floyd County on September 23, 1887, the son of Theodore and Ida Toebe Swartzrock. He farmed all his life.

He was married to Meta Seitz in 1912, who preceded him in death in 1942. In 1945 he married Helen Hoel of Greene.

Survivors include his wife, Helen; one son Lloyd, of Charles City; one daughter, Mrs. Lyle Griffen, of Floyd; one brother, Gilbert, of Charles City; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services wee held on Saturday afternoon at the Zion Lutheran Church in Rockford with Rev. Stephen Engelstad officiating. Burial was in West St. Charles Cemetery.
