Louise Mary Wagner, age 88, of Osage, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2015, at Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 10, 2015, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage with Father Raymond Burkle officiating. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage with a rosary at 5:15 p.m.
Louise was born January 9, 1927, on the family farm near Charles City, Iowa, the daughter of Leo and Laura (Osier) Frascht. She graduated from Marble Rock High School in 1945. Louise married the love of her life, LuVerne E. Wagner, on September 30, 1947, at St. Mary’s Church in Greene, Iowa. Louise worked at Pierless Photography before she stayed home and raised her family. Louise and LuVerne managed the Arcade Lunch, and she later worked at the Staff Motel, both in Osage.
She participated in the Sacred Heart Guild and St. Theresa’s Circle. She was very loyal to her faith and prayers. Louise loved spending time with her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She also loved to read and complete crossword puzzles. Louise was well known to her family and friends for promptly sending cards and personalized letters for any and all special occasions, and never missed one.
Louise is survived by her husband, LuVerne Wagner of Osage; her son, Darrell Wagner of El Paso, Texas, and his children, Dawn (Mark) Forseith, Brian (Annette) Wagner, Aaron (Tracy) Wagner, and Kim (Chad) Pennington; her daughter, Linda Paulus of Rockford and her children, Dena (Marcus) Majerczyk, Robyn Copney, Derek (Julie) Paulus, Rykel (Spencer) Blunt, Ryan (Tarah) Paulus, Dusten (Katie) Paulus, Danyel (David) Reiter, and Riley Paulus; her daughter, Janet (Mark) Taets of Osage and their children, Scott (Steph) Taets, Wayne (Megan) Taets, Matt (Yana) Taets, Andy (Sam) Taets, and Libby (Jason) Wellman; her son, Darwin Wagner of Northwood and his children, Kyle (Jill) Wagner and Kacey Wagner; 29 great-grandchildren; brothers, Andy Frascht of Rockwell, Richard (Sharon) Frascht of Greene, Earl (Joan) Frascht of Greene, Carl Frascht of Council Bluffs, and Paul (Karen) Frascht of Grinnell; sisters, Ann Frascht of Nora Springs and Carol (Fred) Nunes of Palm Desert, California; and special friends, Mary (Wagner) Nondorf and Cheryl (Wagner) Hemann.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Florence Crabtree and Helen Hovey.
