Arly Ward, age 77, of Osage, died suddenly Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at his home in Osage.

Cremation has taken place.

A celebration of Arly’s life will be held at a later date.

Arly was born May 8, 1937, in Holyoke, Massachusetts, the son of Albion and Leona (Carrier ) Ward. He served in the U.S. Navy. On November 7, 1980, he was united in marriage to Betty Grimm Adams in Long Beach, California. He was the owner/operator of a pilot car business and retired in 2012. Arly was a member of the Family Motor Coach Association and Osage American Legion Post 278. He enjoyed woodworking and tinkering in his shop.

Arly is survived by his wife, Betty Ward of Osage; his children, Lori Ward and Doug (Angie) Ward, all of Idaho; two stepsons, Randy (Sandy) Adams of Osage and Roger (Connie) Adams of California; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
