Katherine Harriett Norby was born November 17, 1908 at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa to Lauritz Halsteinsen Norby and Rachael Johanna Nubson, the second of their three children.

Katherine was baptized on December 20, 1908 at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa. Her baptismal sponsors were: Mr & Mrs Carl Norby; Gunja Nubson and Alfred Nubson.

She was confirmed at RCLC on May 13, 1923. Katherine graduated from the Osage High School at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa.

Katherine married Clifford Johannes Larson on July 8, 1934 Osage, Mitchell, Iowa. The couple had 1 daughter.

Katherine Larson died January 5, 2000 at Albert Lea, Freeborn, Minnesota and is buried at Rock Creek Lutheran Church Cemetery, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.
