Funeral rites will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Champion Funeral Home for Mrs. Oscar A. Frank, 84, who died Thursday at Clarion at the home of her daughter. She had been residing with daughters in Osage and Clarion since the death of her husband; burial in Osage Cemetery.
Born April 11, 1869, as Isabella Rebecca Godden, to Thomas and Rhoda Godden, at Otisville, Iowa, Clayton County. She spent her girlhood there and at Earlville. She was married May 19, 1889, at Manchester, where the couple first lived. They lived near Stacyville and near and in Osage until the death of her husband, December 24, 1946.
She leaves six daughters: Mrs. Joseph Krones, Mrs. Grace Squier, Mrs. Edward Arp, and Mrs. Lawrence Squier, Sr., all of Osage; Mrs. Leo Behrens, Kent, O., and Mrs. E. E. Harson, Clarion; one son, Edward, Osage; a stepson, Benjamin Frank, Bethel, Conn; 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Joseph Godden, Garber.
Preceding her also were four sons: William, Eugene, Earl and Arthur; a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Steward; two sisters, Mrs. Daisy Darrow and Mrs. Martha Fishel, and three brothers, William Charlie and Bert Godden.
