Former Mitchell County Resident Dies at Seattle
OSAGE, IOWA - Mearl Allison, 59, former resident of Osage, died at Seattle, Wash., at midnight Wednesday after a long illness, according to word received by relatives here. Funeral services were to be held there.
Mr. Allison was a son of Cora and William Allison, born in Wisconsin December 25, 1895. He came to Mitchell County with his family in 1900 where his parents purchased a farm near Osage. He was married to Cordelia Noble of Osage in 1913.
The couple lived near Osage until 1919 when they moved to a farm near Platte, North Dakota, then moved to Seattle where they since lived.
Survivors include his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Carl Olson, Seattle, Wash., and two sons, Marlow, Camden, N.Y., and Everett, Portland, Ore., eight grandchildren, a brother, Ira, of Osage, and a sister, Mrs. Mable Hadfield, Seattle, Wash.
