Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 9, 1983, at the St. Ansgar Catholic Church, for Rose Cullen, 70, a longtime Mitchell area resident who died Wednesday, April 6, 1983, at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital. Rev. J. Smith officiated at the service. Burial was in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Mitchell. Champion Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Rose was born on March 17, 1913 in Racine, Wisconsin, the daughter of Joseph and Anna Mostek.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; one sister, Mary Hanson; one brother, Matthew, and by her parents.

She is survived by two sons, Richard of Mitchell and Ronald of Osage; three sisters: Mrs. Francis Kreck, St. Paul, Minnesota, Mrs. Josie Maakestad, Mitchell, and Mrs. Anna Steka of Racine, Wisconsin; four brothers: Joe Mostek, Jerry Mostek and John Mostek, all of Mitchell, and Tony Mostek of St. Ansgar.
