Emil August Nack – February 28, 1889 – August 31, 1946

Osage -Emil August Nack, 57. died suddenly from a blood clot. He had not been feeling well for two days but was not thought seriously ill.

He was born February 28, 1889 near Grafton, Worth County, Iowa, the son of Daniel and Emma (Kirchgatter) Nack.

He lived there until he was 13, then moved to near St. Ansgar. He married March 8, 1916 to Sadie Klein, and the couple lived in St. Ansgar community until retirement to Osage in 1943.

He leaves his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Lester Rowe, Osage and Dolores, Chicago; two sons, Pfc. Donald, Missoula, Momtana and Dean, at home; two grandchildren; two brothers, Will of Grafton, and Henry, Austin Minnesota; and three sisters, Mrs. Emil Beyer, Ogema, Minnesota; Mrs. Ernest Marcks, Buffalo, North Dakota, and Mrs. Albert Heise, Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Mrs. Frank Gottschalk.
Amvet auxiliary members will meet Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the American Legion Hall.

Osage -Funeral rites were here Wednesday for Emil Nack, 57, who died suddenly Sunday, having apparently been in good health; heart attack was cause of death. He came to Osage to retire three years ago.
