Brian Allen Clark

Brian Allen Clark, 35, of Waterloo, Iowa, and formerly of Rochester and Austin, Minnesota, a very much loved father, son and brother, passed away at his home in Waterloo, Iowa, October 15, 2014.

He was born July 5, 1979, in Austin and grew up in Rochester, Minnesota, close to his loving grandpa and grandma Orv and Shirley Clark. He attended Mayo High School through his junior year and worked mowing lawns and at Wendy’s Old Fashioned Hamburgers. His senior year he attended Austin High School where he graduated.

While in Austin he worked at Wendy’s Old Fashioned Hamburgers, A&W and also at Ankeny’s and Conoco Gas Stations. After High School, Brian attended Riverland Technical College for Auto Body. He got his “Purple Car” for his project car (a 1972 Satellite). He also painted a 1949 pickup for his grandpa.

Brian worked at Waste Oil Furnaces in Austin, Midwest Manufacturing and Nail Plant in Rochester and while working at Kemps in Rochester he decided to further his education by attending Building Utilities Mechanic Program at RCTC. He married Jennifer Buckland and they resided on an acreage near Adams, Minnesota. They later divorced.

Brian was currently living in Waterloo with his fiancé Sarah Rosol and their two boys: Nathan Sylar and Jacob Danger. He was working for Ramco Innovations.

Brian’s greatest joys were demo derbys and spending time with his brothers William and Michael; he taught them since they were two and three years old. Brian also enjoyed hunting and fishing trips with his family, but most of all he loved playing with and teaching his boys, they were his pride and joy. One of Brian’s greatest gifts was his ability to fix just about anything. He passed on his love of Mopar’s to his younger brothers and was so proud of them.

He is survived by his mother Shelly Clark of Rochester; fiancé Sarah Rosol of Waterloo, Iowa; two sons: Nathan Sylar and Jacob Danger at home; two brothers: William and Michael McAlister both of Rochester, Minnesota; step-dad Randy McAlister of Austin, Minnesota; maternal grandparents Orville and Shirley Clark of Rochester, Minnesota; and many loving aunts, uncles; cousins and friends.

Funeral services for Brian A. Clark will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 18, 2014, at LeRoy Evangelical Lutheran Church, 120 W. Luella Street LeRoy, Minnesota, with the Rev. Herman Bakker officiating. Burial will take place at Wayne Cemetery near McIntire, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of service at the church.
