Stella Antonetta Maakestad was born December 22, 1902 at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa to Syver Johan Maakestad and Antonette Docken, the youngest of their six children. She was named after an older sister who died at age 2, two years before the second Stella's birth. Stella was baptized on January 25, 1903 at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa and confirmed at same on June 2, 1918.

She married Knud Arthur Klemesrud on October 20, 1928 at Rock Creek Lutheran, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa. The couple had one daughter, Annette LaVonne Klemesrud.

1915: Stella Maakestad age 12.

1920: Syver J 51, Antonette 50, Oliver 29, John 25, Ingvald 21, Stella A 17.

1925: Syver J Maakestad 56, Nettie Maakestad 55, Oliver Maakestad 34, John T Maakestad 30, Stella A Maakestad 22.

Found in the 1930 census at Joice, Worth, Iowa: Knud Klemesrud 25, Stella Klemesrud 28, Annette Klemesrud 11 mos.

Found in the 1940 census at Lake Mills, Winnebago, Iowa: Knud Klemesrud 35, Stella Klemesrud 37, Annette Klemesrud 10.

Stella A Maakestad Klemesrud died July 3, 1977 at Pewaukee, Waukesha, Wisconsin. Where she is buried is unknown but I did find a memorial for her at Find a Grave #47175686.
