OSAGE, IOWA - Antonia "Toni" Brandt, 91, of rural Osage, died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014, at the Osage Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Osage.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 15, 2014, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in St. Ansgar with Pastor Byron Northwick officiating.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage. Burial will be at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in St. Ansgar.

Antonia "Toni" J. Brandt

(Died September 11, 2014)

Antonia Brandt, age 91, of Osage died Thursday, September 11, 2014, at the Osage Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Osage.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday September 15, 2014, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in St. Ansgar with Pastor Byron Northwick officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage. Burial will be at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in St. Ansgar.

Antonia was born January 11, 1923, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Anthony and Josephine (Lola) Kriglstein. She moved to Mitchell with her family when she was 8 years old. She attended the Mitchell School. On February 3, 1945, she married John J. Brandt at Immanuel Lutheran Church in St. Ansgar. They farmed north of Mitchell for over 69 years. She enjoyed going to the casino, gardening, baking, canning, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren

Antonia is survived by her children, Phyllis (Danny) Sobek of Klemme, Dorothy (Jim) Weldon of Denver, Colorado, Alan Brandt of Osage; eight Grandchildren and ten Great-Grandchildren, one brother, Charles(Glennis) Kriglstein, of Sioux City; son-in-law, Charlie Watson of Mantorville, Minnesota, and many nieces and nephews and special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John in 1996; daughter, Jane Watson in 2013: granddaughter, Karen Monson in 2003.
