RICEVILLE, IOWA - Steven “Stevie” Blake, 26, of Riceville, died Sunday July 27, 2014, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minn. As per his wishes he was part of the Donor Network.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday Aug. 1, 2014 at Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville, with Pastor Dan Christensen officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Riceville.

Steven “Stevie” Blake, 26, of Riceville, Iowa passed away on Sunday July 27 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. As per his wishes he was part of the Donor Network.
Steven Blake was born December 11, 1987, son of Marilyn Blake and Mark Schultz. Stevie attended Riceville schools and graduated in the class of 2006.
Survivors include his parents: Marilyn Blake and Mark Schultz of Riceville, Iowa; a sister Loni and her husband Greg Swenson and children McKayla and Isaac all of Rose Creek, Minnesota; a brother Brad and his wife Cathi and their children Austin, Tyler, and Dylan of Cresco, Iowa; four uncles: Michael Blake of Iowa City, Iowa, Steven Blake and his wife Carolyn of Shakopee, Minnesota, William Blake of Atlanta, Georgia, and Jeff Schultz and his wife Shannon of Amarillo, Texas; four aunts: Ann Kindschuh of Shakopee, Minnesota, Karen Hartman and her husband Dale of Riceville, Iowa, Rose Gansen and her husband Dale of Riceville, Iowa, and Cynthia Houser and her husband Thomas of Riceville, Iowa; his maternal grandfather James Blake of Riceville, Iowa; paternal grandparents Marjorie and Richard Schultz also of Riceville, Iowa, and many cousins.
Steven was preceded in death by his grandmother Genevieve Blake, an uncle Carl Blake and a cousin Hadley Holgerson.

#2: NEWS--Riceville man dies after
single vehicle accidentMCINTIRE, IOWA - A 26-year-old Riceville man has died of injuries received in a car crash on Saturday, July 26, near McIntire.
According to Mitchell County Sheriff Greg Beaver, Steven Blake died Sunday, July 27, at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minn.
Beaver said Blake was driving south on Walnut Avenue, about three-quarters of a mile north of Highway 9, when he lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle rolled and Blake was trapped inside the vehicle for a time, Beaver said. Authorities were contacted at 1:58 a.m.
Riceville Fire Department and ambulance service responded to the scene. Blake was transported to Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage before being taken to Rochester.
A female passenger was treated for minor injuries, Beaver said. Her name was not released. The accident continues to be investigated, he said.
