Obituary--

LORNA KROGSTAD

Funeral services were held on Friday, January 4, 1985 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Osage, Iowa, for Lorna Krogstad, 76, who died on Monday, December 31, 1984 at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital.

Rev. J. Nesheim officiated at the service, and burial was in the Osage Cemetery.

Champion Funeal Home was in charge of arrangements.

Miss Krogstad was born on June 25, 1908, in North Dakota, the daughter of Laura and Oscar Krogstad. As a young girl she moved to Mitchell county with her family. After graduating from Osage schools, she became a registered nurse and also a nurse anesthetist, taking her training in Mason City and Minneapolis.

She worked in Des Moines and Denison areas, as well as several school nurse at UNI. She retired and moved to Osage in 1970.

Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Carl (Sylvia) Duenow, Waverly, and Mrs. Bernice Anderson, Mpls, Minnesota, and two brothers, Lloyd and Glen Krogstad, both of Osage.

Lorna Evangeline Krogstad was born June 25, 1908 at Enderlin, Ransom, North Dakota to Oscar Ludvig Krogstad and Laura Staff, the third of their ten children.

Lorna never married, nor had children. She worked in the medical profession.

1917: moved with her family to Iowa.

Found in the 1920, 1925 censuses at Rock, Mitchell, Iowa:
1920: Oscar L Krogstad 38, Laura Krogstad 39, Alice Krogstad 15, Orin Krogstad 13, Laurna Krogstad 11, Bernice Krogstad 9, Loyd Krogstad 7, Gladys Krogstad 5, Russel Krogstad 1 yr 1 mo.

1925: Oscar Kragstad 44, Laura Kragstad 44, Alyce Kragstad 20, Oran Kragstad 18, Lorna Kragstad 16, Bernice Kragstad 14, Lloyd Kragstad 12, Gladys Kragstad 10, Gelen Kragstad 3.

Found in the 1930 census at Mason City, Cerro Gordo, Iowa: Lorna Kragstiad 21, renting a room.

Lorna E. Krogstad died December 31, 1984 Osage, Mitchell, Iowa and is buried at the Osage City Cemetery, Osage, Mitchell, Iowa.
