Cora Odella Klemesrud was born February 5, 1894 on the farm at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa to Harald Knudsen Klemesrud and Ingeborg Severine Maakestad, the third of their ten children.

Cora was baptized on March 23, 1894 at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa. Her baptismal sponsors were: Mr. & Mrs. Peter Motland and Mr & Mrs Carl Carlson.

She was confirmed at RCLC on June 6, 1909. Cora became a school teacher. She never married, nor had children.

Found in the 1895 - 1915 censuses living at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa:

1895: Cora Klemesrud age 1.

April 1900: Haral Klemesrud 40, Ingeborg S Klemesrud 34, Lillie C Klemesrud 8, Cora O Klemesrud 16, Herbert I Klemesrud 4, Olaf K Klemesrud 2,Clarence G Klemesrud 1 mo, Henry A Rier 26.

1910: Haral B Klemessud 50, Belle Klemessud 44, Lillie Klemessud 18, Cora Klemessud 16, Herbert Klemessud 14, Olaf Klemessud 12, Clarence Klemessud 10, Theodore Klemessud 8, Ruth Klemessud 6, Lloyd Klemessud 3.

Cora Klemesrud died December 31, 1918 at Chicago, Cook, Illinois and was buried at the Rock Creek Lutheran Cemetery, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.
