ST. ANSGAR -- Funeral services for Mrs. Turina Anderson, 90, widow of Gunder Anderson, will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m., at the home of her son, Charley Anderson, and at the Deer Creek Lutheran church at 2 p.m., the Rev. O.A. Langehough in charge. Burial in Deer Creek cemetery. She was a native of Winneshiek county.
Mrs. Anderson died Wednesday at the home of her son where she spent the last few months of her life. She became ill March 2.
She was married to Gunder Anderson on November 19, 1876, at Northwood. They established their home near Algona and returned to Worth County the following summer where they made their home until Mr. Anderson died May 18, 1929. Mrs. Anderson remained on the old homestead where she lived for 60 years.
Five sons and one daughter were born, Charley of St. Ansgar, Will of carpenter, John and Nels of Meltonville and Mrs. L.V. Carberry of Council Bluffs. One son preceded her in death. She also leaves 27 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. There are also two sisters and two brothers.
