Maxine Linda (Kittleson) Carter .. May 13, 1933 – April 25, 2005

Mickey Carter, 71, of Grand Meadow, died Monday, April 25, 2005 at the Rochester Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.

Maxine Linda Kittleson was born on May 13, 1933 in Mitchell, Iowa to Ben and Hazel Kittleson. She attended country schools through the eighth grade and on September 3, 1950 she married Roy Carter at the St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin, Minnesota and together they lived in Grand Meadow the majority of her life.

She and her husband operated Carter Sanitation and owned Roy's Towing of Grand Meadow. She also worked for the Grand Meadow Healthcare Center until the time she became ill in 2000.

She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, shopping, flower gardening and helping others.

She is survived by her husband, Roy of Lewiston, Minnesota: daughters Monnasue "Tootie" (Bob) Bremer of Rochester: Darcy Rae (Rick) Arden of Nashwauk; Sharann (Jim) Thorson of Grand Meadow; and Shannon (John) Klein of Grand Meadow; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Kenneth (Marie) Kittleson and Lester Kittleson, both of St. Ansgar, Iowa and Gerald (Marjean) Kittleson of Rochester.

Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kimmery; granddaughter, Sayer Thorson; and an infant brother.
