OSAGE, IOWA — Services for Carl Lindley, 93, who died Thursday, June 23, 1988, at Mitchell County Hospital of natural causes, will be 10 a.m. Monday at Champion Funeral Home, Osage. Burial will be in Rock Creek Cemetery, rural Osage, where military rites will be conducted by Osage American Legion Post 278.
Survivors include a daughter, lone Anderson of Springfield, Missouri; a son, Leon of Osage; nine grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren; four sisters: Mrs. Ida Bisbee of Elk Horn, Wisconsin, Mrs. Alice Schultz of St. Ansgar, Mrs. Olava Koch of Mason City and Mrs. Clara Wherry of Waterloo; and two brothers, Levi and Melvin, both of Osage.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cora; a son; a great-grandson; a sister and a brother.
He was a veteran of World War I, was employed by Wallace's Farmer magazine and as a highway inspector for the Iowa Highway Department.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 9 a.m. today.
