RICEVILLE, IOWA - Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Congregational Church in Riceville for James LeRoy Eide, 64, who was found dead in a barn at his former farm home Tuesday. The Mitchell County Medical examiner ruled Mr. Eide took his own life by hanging.
The body was discovered by a neighbor, Ingvald Alsvig, who had been asked to investigate Eide's absence by his wife, Gail. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Survivors are his wife; three brothers, Herbert of Leland, Kenneth and Gordon, both of Riceville; three sisters, Mrs. Martin Bennett of Forest City, Mrs. W. W. Krueger of Albert Lea, Minn., and Mrs. W. T. Tillson of Scottsdale, Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.
Chisholm Funeral Home in Riceville in charge.
