H. F. LOOMIS DIES OF HEART ATTACK ON HUNTING TRIP

Death claimed the life of Henry Loomis, Glenwood, Minn, son-in-law of Mrs. Annie thomspon and brother-in-law of Mrs. E.M. Torblaa, both of this community, while he was on a hunting trip last week Monday as the result of a heart attack.

Mr. Loomis had left early Monday morning for his hunting camp near Scandinavian Lake. When he had not returned home by late afternoon, Mrs. Loomis became worried and called several of his friends who went down to the camp to look for him. The searchers found his car and boat and decoys and later found his body a short way from the boat where he had evidently gone to retrieve some ducks which he had shot. From the position in which his body lay, it was indicated that he had suffered a heart attack and died immediately.

Just two weeks prior to his death Mr. Loomis and his family came to St. Ansgar to visit his wife's mother, Mrs. Annie Thompson, and sister, Mrs. E.M. Torblaa. Mrs. Loomis is Mrs. Thomspon's eldest daughter.

Henry F. Loomis was born at Prairie de Chien, Wis., on December 14, 1878 and was 61 years old at the time of his death.

On February 1, 1905, he was united in marriage to Miss Lulu Olson at St. Ansgar. A daughter, Bernice, was born to their union. They resided at Engerlin, N.D., until 1907 and then moved to Harvey, N.D., where they remained until 1910. Their next location was Thief River Falls where they lived until 1913, when they moved to Glenwood. Mr. Loomis was an engineer on the Soo Line and held that position until three years ago when he had to retire because of poor health.

He is survived by his wife and daughter, Mrs. C.E. Lehman; two sisters, Mrs. C.L. Allen, Lisbon, N.D.; Miss Mille Loomis, Los Angeles, California, and one brother, W.J. Loomis, of Enderlin, N.D.
