FUNERAL SATURDAYThomas K. Paulson, 78, died at St. Joseph's Mercy hospital, Mason City, Tuesday, November 9, following a short illness. Funeral services were held Saturday, November 13, at Rock Creek Lutheran Church, rural Osage, with the Rev. D. Berg in charge.
Burial was at the Rock Creek Church cemetery. The Scheckler Funeral Home of Nora Springs was in charge of burial arrangements.
Thomas Kerner Paulson was born on June 1, 1893 in West Cedar Township, Mitchell County, Iowa, to G.J. and Anna Dirdal Paulson. He was baptized and later confirmed his Christian faith at Rock Creek Lutheran Church, where he remained a lifelong member.
He was educated in the rural schools of Mitchell County and lived most of his life in the area where he was born, farming until his retirement and movement to Nora Springs where he lived for the past dozen years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Gustav and Herman; one half-brother Knute Paulson; and two half-sisters, Mrs. David Gates and Mrs. Henry Espeseth.
He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Alma Gast** of Osage and Mrs. Birdie Huebner of Plymouth, plus many nieces and nephews.
