Gustav William Stelter was born December 11, 1886 on a farm in Cedar township, Mitchell County, Iowa to William F. and Emelie A. Stelter.

1900: William F Steltar 44, Emelia A. Steltar 34, Gustav W. Steltar 14, Emma W. Steltar 11, William F. Steltar 9, Herman H. Steltar 4, Elvin H. Steltar 0/12.

1910: William F. Stalter 53, Gustave W Stelter 24, Emma Stalter 21, William F Stalter 19, Herman H Stalter 14, Alvin Stalter 10, Amelia W Stalter 6, Wilhelmina Stalter 86.

1915: Gustave Stelter 29.

He married Mary A Schroeder before 1920 at Mitchell Co, Iowa.
The couple had 3 children:
Lucille (born 1921 Mitchell, Iowa),
Lawrence Gustav (born 1922 Mitchell, Iowa) and
Bernice (b 1931 Mitchell, Iowa).

According to his wife's obituary, he was living in a nursing home at the time of her death (1957). Believe he may have died 1957 at Austin, Mower, Minnesota. He is buried at St Peter Cemetery, Toeterville, Mitchell, Iowa.
