SERVICES HELD FOR
MRS. SOPHIA DUTTEFuneral services were held Saturday for Mrs. Sophia Dutte, 83, who died May 27, 1971 at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Dutte was known to have a heart condition.
Rev. E. Jacobs, pastor, was in charge of the services at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Rock township, Mitchell county, Iowa, near Grafton, and burial was in the St. John's Lutheran Church cemetery, Rock township.
Schroeder and Houg of St. Ansgar made the arrangements.
Sophia Marie Seeger was born on April 12, 1888, in Freeborn county, Minnesota, the daughter of Frank and Augustine Stiemke Seeger. She was baptized on May 21, 1888 and was confirmed on March 23, 1902, into the Lutheran faith.
John Dutte and Sophia Seeger were married on October 21, 1914. They lived on a farm near Toeterville for 21 years before moving to St. Ansgar and later to Mitchell.
Mr. Dutte died on November 8, 1959, and since that time she has made her home with her daughters.
Mrs. Dutte is survived by her daughters, Mrs. Arnold Wilde (Ruth) of Osage, and Mrs. Frank Walk (Mildred) of Grafton; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Herman Ewald of Northwood and Miss Gretchen Seeger of Myrtle, Minnesota.
