Funeral services were held here Saturday afternoon for Mrs. Lillie Olswold, 85, who died April 20, 1971, at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Olswold had been a resident of Faith Home for the past four years.

Rev. I.G. Kitzman was in charge of the services and arrangements were by C.R. Champion and Sons. Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Mona, Iowa.

Lillie Bagstad was born at Winnetoon, Nebraska, on August 4, 1885, the daughter of Andrew and Anna Anderson Bagstad. She was baptized at Winnetoon.

Henry Olswold and Lillie Bagstad were married at Lyle, Minnesota, on April 8, 1917. They engaged in farming and moved to an acreage near Osage in 1937.

Mrs. Olswold was an active member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Osage and took part in the American Lutheran Church Women and her circle until failing health prevented. She underwent repeated surgeries.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Henry, her parents, and two sisters.

She is survived by one son, Clarence Olswold of Middle, Iowa; one daughter, Mrs. Arthur Lugg (Mae); one sister, Mrs. Clara Larson of Osage; seven grandsons, one granddaughter, and three great-grandchildren.
