MRS. BLANCHE ADAMS

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at the champion Funeral Home for Mrs. Blanche Adams, 84,

who died Tuesday morning at the Osage Nursing Home.

A complete obituary for Mrs. Adams will appear in the Press-News next week.

MRS. B. ADAMS OF MITCHELL DIED

Funeral services were held last Thursday for a Mitchell resident, Mrs. Blanche Adams, 84, who died at the Osage Nursing Home on February 9, 1971. Mrs. Adams had been in ill health for the past several months.

The Rev. R. Smith, of the United Methodist church in Osage, was in charge of the services at the Champion Funeral Home, and burial was in the New Oregon cemetery near Cresco.

Blanche Lenore Perry was born at Cresco, Howard county, Iowa, on May 29, 1886, the daughter of Warren Bailey and Caroline Minty Perry. She completed her education at Cresco and grew to womanhood there.

Emery Allen Adams and Blanche Perry were married on September 14, 1904. They established their home in Austin, moving to Pipestone, Minnesota, in 1912, and remaining there 14 years. Mr. Adams died on January 29, 1927, and since that time and until recently, she made her home with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harold K. Aleridge at Mitchell.

Mrs. Adams was a charter member of the Women's Society of Christian Service of the United Methodist Church in Osage, and was also active in the Mitchell WCTU.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Aleridge (Laura) of Mitchell, Mrs. Henry Hughes (Marjorie) of Cresco; three sons: Roger Adams of Anaheim, Calif., Leonard Adams of Lynchburg, Virginia, and Bert Adams of Des Moines; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; three sisters: Mrs. Janet Ames of Wichita, Kansas, Mrs. J.P. Christiansen of Renner, S.D., and Mrs. John Alexander of Portland, Oregon.

Preceding her in death were her husband, one daughter, her parents and step-mother, one brother and one sister.
