Funeral services will be today, Wednesday, July 15, 1987 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Rock Township, rural Grafton, for Otto Tabbert, 86, of rural Osage. He died on Sunday, July 12, 1987, at the St. Ansgar nursing home. Rev. Richard Zellmer will officiate and burial will be in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery.

He was born on October 2, 1900 in Rock Township, the son of Wilhelm and Friederike (Pahl) Tabbert. He attended rural school in Rock Township and farmed around the area until 1980.

He served in the church council for a number of years and was a member of the church brotherhood.

Otto was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; one brother; one half-brother and one half-sister.

Survivors include one brother, Albert of Osage; and one niece, Evelyn Lesch of Waterloo.
