Funeral services were held Monday, June 29, 1987 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Osage, Iowa, for Virgil R. Schroeder, 60, of St. Ansgar, Iowa, and formerly of Osage. Rev. R. Hubbard officiated and burial was in Liberty Cemetery at Little Cedar. Mr. Schroeder died on Friday, June 26, 1987, at the St. Ansgar nursing home.

Mr. Schroeder was born on December 5, 1926, at St. Ansgar, to Albin and Lillian (Winer) Schroeder. He graduated from Little Cedar High School and the National Institute of Washington, D.C.

Mr. Schroeder has his own radio and repair shop in Osage.

He lived in Little Cedar until 1951 when he moved to Osage. In 1980, he moved to the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in St. Ansgar.

Survivors include a sister, Mildred Young of Osage; a brother, Rudolph of Osage; and several nieces and nephews.
