NORTHWOOD, IOWA - Rose Mary Ellingson, 83, of Northwood, died on August 7, 2013, at the Lutheran Retirement Home, Northwood. Memorial service will be on Wednesday, August 14, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, Northwood, with Rev. Judy Converse officiating. A private family burial will be held at the St. Ansgar Cemetery, St. Ansgar. Visitation will be on Wednesday, starting at 10 a.m. at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, Northwood.
Rose Mary was born on April 18, 1930 to John and Marye (Tolsky) Orth. She attended school in Mitchell. On February 4, 1950 she married Merle Ellingson. She volunteered at numerous area organizations.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Merle Ellingson; parents, John and Marye Orth; one brother, John Orth; one sister, Beffie Schulz.
Rose Mary is survived by two sons, Mike (Diana) Ellingson, and Ken Ellingson; by three daughters: Colette, Ann (David) Tyler, and Barbara Garcia; by seven grandchildren; and by six great-grandchildren.
