Annetta Otilia Haugerud was born May 14, 1877 at "Haugerud" (farm) in Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa to Ole (the Younger) Rustand Haugerud & Maren Torine Ask, the sixth of their ten children. She was baptized at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.

The family sold Haugerud to Knud Haugen and moved to Dakota territory in 1879 to homestead land. Found in the 1880 census at Drayton, Pembia, Dakota Territory: Ole O. Haugerud 46, Mary Haugerud 33, Laura Haugerud 12, George Haugerud 10, Matilda Haugerud 5, Annetta Haugerud 3, Tolef Johnson 27.

Annetta married Selmer Adsem (born November 27, 1871- died May 15, 1958) in 1998 at Walsh, North Dakota.

The couple had 3 sons:
Horace Adsem (b February 21, 1899 ND - d April 26, 1920, FAG #34580320);
Milnor Adsem (b September 5, 1903 ND - d October 8, 1964 Grafton, ND, FAG #34580352 );
Raymond Elroy Adsem (b March 26, 1906 ND- d January 2, 1985 Walsh, ND, FAG # 34580361).

1900: Selmer Adsem 28, Annie Adsem 23, Ha* O Adsem 1, Moller Adsem 21.
1920: Selmer Adsem 48, Anetta Adsem 43, Horace Adsem 21, Milnor Adsem 16, Raymond Adsem 13. 1925: Annette Adsem age 47.
1940: Selmer Adsem 68, Annette Adsem 62, Raymond Adsem 39.

Annetta O Haugerud Adsem died April 19, 1966 at Grafton, Walsh, North Dakota and is buried at the North Trinity Cemetery, Nash, Walsh, North Dakota.
